Who is Justin McNeal?

Justin McNeal For Congress

Why?

Justin is running because he sees the turmoil in our country and wants to serve it once again as a US Congressman from South Dakota.  He is a bold, fresh face who has no special interest group or lobbyist support.  Justin’s philosophy is based on FREEDOM; he is for limited government, is a Pro-Life Republican, gun owner, hunter and a Christian, with a strong work ethic, a servant’s heart, and conservative values instilled in him by his parents.  During his time in the Navy and on his own, he has traveled the world to over 65 countries and has a unique world perspective but is still rooted in conservative values.

Upbringing

Justin McNeal was born in Illinois and was raised in Texas. He attended public school where he swam, played soccer and lacrosse. He was a Boy Scout and attained the rank of Eagle Scout at age 12. He worked at Discount Tire Co to earn money to buy his first vehicle, a 2000 Chevy truck which he still owns.

Military and Professional Background

He graduated in 2001 from Kingwood High School and immediately enlisted in the US Navy just before 9/11.  He graduated from the Naval Nuclear Power School and served for 6 years aboard the fast attack submarine--the USS Key West as a submariner based out of Honolulu.  He is also a journeyman: powerplant operator.  He earned several commendations while in the Navy and received his BS in Nuclear Technology during his service. After he was honorably discharged, he went on to earn his MBA and CFP credential and started his wealth management firm:  TREW Advisors with offices in San Diego, Las Vegas and Honolulu.  He moved his business to South Dakota in 2021 and resides in Rapid City.  As an avid aviator, he is an instrument rated private pilot.  He is a trained firefighter and EMT.  While in Hawaii, he served as Secretary on the Board of Governors for the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Deep South Dakota Roots

Justin comes from a family of veterans with strong South Dakota roots.

-His Great Grandfather Herman Kulpaca served in the US Army during WW 1 and was elected for 2 terms as Mayor of Lead, SD. He won on the campaign slogan “Don’t Help Me Out, Help Me In!”

-His Grandfather Charles Kulpaca, OD served in the US Army during WW2 and had an optometry practice in Rapid City for over 40 years.

-His Father Gregory McNeal Sr. served in the US Navy during Vietnam and succumbed to glioblastoma due to Agent Orange exposure.

-His Great Grandfather Charles Bradsky, Sr and his wife Vilma legally emigrated to the US in the 1920’s from Czechoslovakia and settled in Rapid City where he ranched and started several successful local businesses.  Justin spent summers and many holidays in the Black Hills with his grandparents, Charles and Beanie Kulpaca.
